Thirty-four Azov fighters return from captivity – brigade commander
Colonel Denys Prokopenko, commander of the 12th special forces brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, reported that as a result of the 58th POW swap, 34 Azov servicemen who took part in the defense of Mariupol returned to Ukraine.
"Exchanges including Azov soldiers are gradually becoming systematic, and this is the result of joint efforts and persistence of all persons involved in the process at all levels. About 900 Azov fighters remain in Russian prisons. Our common goal is to return everyone," he wrote on Telegram on Saturday.
Earlier it was reported that late on Friday evening, a POW swap between Ukraine and the Russian Federation took place in the 95 for 95 format.
