European Union will continue to support Ukraine on its European path - EU summit conclusions
European Union leaders say they will continue to support Ukraine in carrying out reforms on its path to EU membership.
This follows from the conclusions adopted following the meeting of the European Council, which took place in Brussels on Thursday.
“The European Union will continue to work closely with Ukraine and support its reform efforts on its European path,” the document reads.
The European Union leaders also said they remain committed to supporting Ukraine’s repair, recovery and reconstruction, in coordination with international partners. “The next Ukraine Recovery Conference will be hosted by Italy in July 2025,” the conclusions say.
In addition, the EU leaders confirmed that the European Union remains committed to supporting persons displaced by this war, both in Ukraine and in the European Union, including through adequate and flexible financial assistance to the Member States who carry the largest burden of the medical, education and living costs of refugees.
