Ukraine should get all it needs for victory over enemy – Canadian MP

Ukraine should obtain everything its needs to defeat the aggressor state, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada Greg Fergus has said Monday.

"If Ukraine does not get everything it needs for victory over the enemy today, we will pay a much higher price then," he said during a solemn meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the Canadian MP, no one in the world will enjoy security, freedom and democracy, if Ukraine does not have them.

"When you are defending your country, which you have been doing every day and night, you are fighting not only for your own freedom, you are doing this so it won't be stolen from us. You are at the front line. You are defending the democratic civilization. You are holding back the tyranny," Fergus said.

He also stressed that Canada is working with the G7 partners and other countries to back sanctions against Russia and bring it to justice for its aggression.
