Zelenskyy: We'd like to end war no later than 2025
Ukraine continues to strive for achieving a just peace based on the UN Charter and for ending the war as soon as possible, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told a joint press briefing with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday.
"Today I will present to Olaf a plan how, in our opinion, to force Russia to peace, that is, how to end this war – we would like no later than the next year 2025, and guarantee that aggression will not repeat," he said.
The head of state emphasized that the developed plan is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's positions.
"This plan is a bridge to a productive Peace Summit, which will really put an end to the war. That is, this plan is not to replace our peace initiative, but precisely to strengthen Ukraine's positions for the sake of approaching peace. We can do this in cooperation – all our partners. We count on Germany's support," Zelenskyy said.
