Russia hits Poltava region with three Iskanders, attacks several other regions with drones - Air Force
On the night of October 9, 2024, the enemy struck Poltava region with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Kursk region - Russian Federation, as well as 22 strike UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Cape Chauda - Crimea, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Wednesday morning.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 21 enemy UAVs were shot down in Odesa, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions. Another attack drone turned towards Russia," the report says.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
