Kyiv working to accelerate partners’ decision on funds by using Russian assets
Ukraine continues to work on accelerating the partners' decision on the use of Russian assets to protect against Russian aggression, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an evening address on Tuesday, October 1.
"We are working to accelerate the decision of our partners on the means of using Russian assets. There is a political solution. The sense of justice – that Russian assets should work to protect against Russian aggression – is shared by all partners. We need a common effective mechanism," the President said.
He stressed that making such a decision would not only give Ukraine more stability, it would give the right meaning to the whole situation.
"We need to ensure all the elements of justice for Ukraine, a country that Russia has criminally attacked. And this is important for everyone in the world – for everyone who values international law and the world order that ensures peace," Zelenskyy is sure.
