Nine children and a 20-year-old young man with his brother were returned to Ukraine as part of the implementation of the approved action plan of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA, authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Lubinets said.
"The ages of those returned range from 13 to 17. Some of them have disabilities and serious illnesses," he said in the Telegram channel on Friday.
He said that with the mediation of the State of Qatar, the children will be able to reunite with their families.
"The returned Ukrainians are from Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea. Some of the returned children were in Oleshky orphanage at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Subsequently, the occupation authorities took them to the city of Skadovsk and Russia," the ombudsman said.
