Zelenskyy, von der Leyen discuss measures to preserve 25% of Ukraine's energy generation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed steps to strengthen the Ukrainian energy sector during talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Zelenskyy spoke about this in his evening address on Friday.
"There is a new package for our energy sector from the European Union – EUR 160 million. There is also an agreement to increase electricity imports to Ukraine – something that will definitely support our state and people in difficult situations. We discussed with Ursula steps that will help us preserve at least a quarter of generation," the president said.
