Zelenskyy: 70 mln tonnes of cargo transported through maritime export corridor over more than one year
During more than one year of operation of the maritime export corridor, Ukraine has transported 70 million tonnes of cargo, with more than 2,500 ships leaving Ukrainian ports, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Wednesday.
"Despite the war and Russian terror, Ukraine continues to be a global food security donor for dozens of countries around the world. And we are building up our capabilities," he said on the Telegram channel.
The head of state added that Ukrainian grain was received by countries from Egypt to Indonesia, from Tunisia and Libya to India, from Algeria to China.
"Thanks to the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative, at least hundreds of thousands of families and millions of people in Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan have received the necessary food," Zelenskyy said.
He thanked all those who work for the export potential of Ukraine.
