Russians actively attacking in Kurakhove axis – AFU General Staff
Russian occupiers continue to try to use their advantage in manpower and air support to further advance deep into Ukrainian territory, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
"Currently, the number of combat clashes has increased to 88," the AFU said in the Facebook post.
The enemy is most active in Kurakhove axis, where it carried out a quarter of all attacks. Thus, with the support of aviation, the occupiers tried to advance 22 times near Tsukuryne, Zhelanne Pershe, Hirniak, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka. Six combat clashes are ongoing as of 16:00.
In addition, the occupiers are actively attacking in Pokrovsk axis (19 combat clashes, five battles are ongoing) and in Lyman axis (eight combat clashes, two of which are ongoing).
It is noted that the Russians carried out 14 strikes using UAB on populated areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as 17 strikes on the territory of Kursk region of Russia.
