The Ukrainian air defense eliminated 34 enemy drones out of 51 that attacked Ukraine on Tuesday night, the Air Force reported.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 34 attack UAVs were shot down," the report says.
As noted, on the night of September 17, 2024 (from 19:00 to 06:00), radio technical troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 51 attack UAVs in the following directions: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Cape Chauda – Crimea.
The enemy's air attack was reflected by: aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and units of the electronic warfare of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, as a result of active counteraction by the electronic warfare means of the Defense Forces, 12 location-based UAVs were lost in several regions of Ukraine (information on casualties and destruction was not received). Two more enemy attack drones have returned to Russia.
Air defense worked in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions.
