Zelenskyy thanks Sweden for $445 mln assistance package
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson and the Swedish Government for their decision to provide another package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $445 million (EUR 400 million).
"I am grateful to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and the Government of Sweden for their decision to provide another defense support package to Ukraine, valued at $445 million," he said on the X social network on Monday.
The head of state emphasized that this important assistance, including anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank weapons, and financial contributions to address Ukraine's urgent needs, will enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities.
"We thank Sweden for protecting the lives of our people, supporting our warriors, and deeply appreciate its efforts to keep Ukraine and all of Europe safe from Russian terror," he said.
As reported, the Swedish Government announced the 17th package of military assistance to Ukraine worth SEK 4.6 billion, or EUR 400 million, on Monday.
