Syrsky: Over last six days, enemy not advanced single meter in Pokrovsk axis
Ukrainian forces have managed to stop the Russian offensive in Pokrovsk axis, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky said.
"Over the last six days the enemy hasn't advanced a single meter in the Pokrovsk direction. In other words, our strategy is working," he said in an interview with CNN host Christine Amanpour.
According to Syrsky, Ukraine has managed to deprive the Russians of "their ability to maneuver and to deploy their reinforcement forces from other directions."
"...and this weakening has definitely been felt in other areas. We note the amount of artillery shelling as well as the intensity of the offensive have decreased," he said.
