Emergency rescue operations at site of missile strike on Poltava completed: 55 dead, 328 injured
Emergency rescue operations after the enemy strike on Poltava on September 3 have been completed, a total of 55 people were killed and 328 injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said.
"Poltava. Emergency rescue operations at the site of the missile strike on the educational institution in Poltava have been completed. Some 55 people were killed, 328 were injured. At present, specialists are identifying the recovered bodies," the MFA said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the territory of an educational institution and a neighboring hospital in Poltava. One of the buildings of the Institute of Communications was partially destroyed. The president ordered a full and prompt investigation into all circumstances of the incident.
