Zelenskyy congrats Ukrainian Paralympians on first victories
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has congratulated Ukrainian Paralympians on winning two silver and two bronze medals in swimming at the Paris Paralympics.
"The first victories of our Paralympians in Paris. Ukraine has two silver and two bronze medals in swimming," he said on the Telegram channel Friday morning.
The head of state recalled that Anton Kol won silver in the 100-meter backstroke and Iryna Poida in the 200-meter freestyle.
The bronze medalists were Anna Hontar in the 50-meter freestyle and Oleksandr Komarov in the 200-meter freestyle.
"A great start! Every victory of our athletes inspires our entire country. Keep it up!" Zelenskyy said.
