Defense forces destroy almost 20 enemy drones on outskirts of Kyiv – updated data
On Monday, August 26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed about 20 enemy drones during the attack on Kyiv, the air raid siren lasted more than eight hours, said head of the city's military administration, Serhiy Popko.
"Up to a dozen enemy drones were destroyed during the night. And about the same amount - during a daytime UAV attack. In total, almost 20 enemy drones were detected and destroyed, which were heading for the capital," he wrote on Telegram.
Popko clarified that the combat work was carried out on the outskirts of Kyiv. "The wreckage of one of the last UAVs fell on Kyiv - Obukhiv highway on the border of Holosiyivsky district of the capital. As a result, the car caught fire and the driver was injured. There is no destruction in the city."
