PM Modi invites Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to visit India
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit India "at a mutually convenient opportunity", the corresponding point 32 concludes the joint statement of Ukraine and India on the results of the Prime Minister's visit to Kyiv.
"It is quite natural that in such cases he (Modi) sends an invitation, which he did in this case. So we expect that at a time when it is convenient for him, President Zelenskyy will visit India," Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar commented on this invitation at a press briefing on Friday in Kyiv.
As reported, Indian Prime Minister Modi met with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Friday. This is the first visit by an Indian prime minister to Ukraine since the country gained independence in 1991.
