Ukraine, India call for comprehensive reform of UN Security Council – joint statement
Ukainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a comprehensive reform of the UN Security Council so that it reflects modern world realities, according to a joint statement.
" Both sides called for comprehensive reform of the UN Security Council to reflect contemporary global realities and to make it more representative, effective and efficient in dealing with issues of international peace and security," according to the document.
In addition, the Ukrainian side reaffirmed its support for India's permanent membership in a reformed and expanded UN Security Council.
In turn, India expressed hope for Ukraine to join the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
