Zelenskyy: Russia destroys more than 500 churches in Ukraine during full-scale invasion
More than 500 churches, houses of prayer, and other religious constructions were destroyed as a result of Russian strikes on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Thursday.
"All Ukrainian believers suffered from the Russian evil invasion. And we appreciate every manifestation of support for our state and people in the fight for our life – the life which Russia wants to destroy completely," he said on the Telegram channel.
The only thing deserved by those who consider churches as targets for bombs and missiles is condemnation by the entire world, the head of state said.
"That is the attitude the Russian state – the greatest terrorist in the world today – must face," he said.
