Container with fuel, lubricants catch fire in Ternopil due to Russia’s attack, fire extinguished
As a result of a Russian missile strike in Ternopil, a container with fuel and lubricants caught fire, said Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ternopil region Viktor Masley.
"Approximately at about 3 a.m., we received a message about a fire at one of the enterprises in Ternopil. Upon arrival at the fire site, a fire was established due to the ingress of an enemy object into one of the containers where fuel and lubricants were located, as a result of which a fire started," he said at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to Ustenko, more than 20 pieces of equipment, over 90 rescuers, as well as two fire trains from Lviv and Ternopil were involved in the localization of the fire.
"As a result of the actions taken, the fire was localized at 6:50 on Tuesday, that is, its spread was stopped and brought under control. The fire is being extinguished now," he said.
