Defense forces eliminate around 1,230 occupiers over day – General Staff

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1,230 Russian military personnel, five tanks, twelve armored vehicles, 58 artillery systems, one air defense system, 55 drones, three cruise missiles, 80 units of motor and special equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said in the Saturday update on Facebook.

"The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to August 17, 2024 approximately amount to: about 598,180 of military personnel (plus 1,230), 8,501 tanks (plus five), 16,473 armored combat vehicles (plus twelve), 16,985 artillery systems (plus 58), 1,160 MLRS (plus one), 923 units of air defense equipment (plus one), 367 aircraft, 328 helicopters, 13,714 operational-tactical UAVs (plus 55), 2,432 cruise missiles (plus three), 28 ships/boats, one submarine, 22,913 motor vehicles and tankers (plus 65), and 2,844 units of special equipment (plus 15)," it said.
