USAID provides 58 grain transport trailers to 4 Ukrainian agricultural enterprises
USAID has provided 58 trailers to four agricultural enterprises in Ukraine to speed up grain harvesting, reduce transportation costs, and increase grain transport capacity by 169,000 tonnes per year, the donor organization announced on Facebook.
"Recently, these enterprises received 20 of the trailers, and previously, another 38 were provided to eight other enterprises—bringing the total number of trailers purchased with USAID support to 58," the organization said in the statement.
According to USAID's estimates, the recipient enterprises will be able to increase their grain transport by a combined 234,500 tonnes per year, thereby strengthening Ukraine's agricultural sector and enhancing global food security.
