Switzerland, Italy support Second Global Peace Summit with participation of all parties, incl Russia
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani discussed the situation in Ukraine and signed a declaration in which they noted their concern about Russian aggression.
“Together with Italian FM Antonio Tajani, we signed a joint declaration in Locarno expressing our deep concern over Russia's aggression in Ukraine. We are calling for the assurance of nuclear safety, the release of prisoners of war, & the establishment of a lasting peace, in alignment with the declaration from the UA Peace Summit on June 16,” Cassis said on X.
“We support holding a second peace summit that includes all parties, including Russia,” the Swiss Foreign Minister stressed.
