Dismantling of rubble of shopping center in Kostiantynivka completed: 14 people die – Klymenko
In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, the dismantling of the rubble of a shopping center destroyed by a Russian strike on Friday has been completed, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.
"As a result of yesterday's Russian shelling, 14 people were killed and 44 people were injured. Of the eight unidentified bodies, the police criminologists identified five: three women and two children - girls born in 2012 and 2014. It remains to identify three people," Klymenko wrote on the Telegram channel.
In total, rescuers of the State Emergency Service dismantled 76 tonnes of building structures at the work site.
An interdepartmental investigative group has been established to document Russia's war crimes, which includes employees of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
As reported, at 11:05 on August 9, 2024, the enemy launched an airstrike on the town of Kostiantynivka, previously with an X-38 missile. The hit occurred at a local shopping center, where there were food and hardware stores.
