Children likely among Kostiantynivka strike victims, rescue operation suspended
There are likely children among the victims of Russia's Friday attack on a supermarket in Kostiantynivka, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin has said.
"There are likely three children among those killed, but the bodies are badly damaged and only the expertise can identify them. One of the wounded people is in serious condition. He has been delivered to Dnipro for treatment. The others are receiving medical aid on the territory of the region," he said on the Telegram channel.
As of 7 p.m., the official reported 14 dead and 43 wounded people as a result of the missile strike.
The search and rescue operations have been suspended so far for security reasons, he said.
As reported, Russia hit a shopping mall in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, by a Kh-38 missile on Friday.
