Bulgaria allows its servicemen to train Ukrainian military on NATO territory
The Bulgarian Cabinet of Ministers has decided to authorize the participation of members of the Bulgarian Armed Forces in the NATO Security assistance and Training Ukraine (NSATU) operation.
"By taking this decision, our country sends a clear signal of its commitment to support Ukraine, uphold Euro-Atlantic values and strengthen its allied solidarity to the common efforts in support of international peace and security," the press service of the Bulgarian government said following its meeting on Wednesday.
Given "the proximity of the conflict to the Bulgarian border and its importance for security in Europe, Bulgaria's contribution to the NSATU is in line with the efforts of other Alliance member states," the government said.
