Air defense shoots down four Russian missiles, 15 UAVs – Air Force
On Tuesday night, Ukrainian air defense shot down four Russian missiles and 15 attack drones within four regions of Ukraine, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, two X-59 guided aviation missiles and 15 attack UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytsky regions," the report says.
It is reported that on the night of August 6, the enemy struck four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles in Kyiv region from the territory of Russia, in particular, from Voronezh region, two X-59 guided aviation missiles from the airspace over the Sea of Azov and 16 Shahed-type attack UAVs in the directions Cape Chauda – Crimea, as well as from Kursk (Russia).
Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile forces and electronic warfare units of the Air Force repelled the air attack, the command stressed.
