Zelenskyy: Professionalism and dedication of our military surgeons ensure high level of saved lives
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the high level of training and dedication of military surgeons brought the main success in the field of military medicine in the context of the Russian war against Ukraine, namely the high level of survival of the wounded and the percentage of saved lives.
“I would like to separately note our military surgeons and the absolutely unique operations they perform, which have no analogues in the world. Today, our surgeons restore severed limbs, perform heart surgery when it would seem impossible to bring a warrior back to life. But they do it,” Zelenskyy said at the first annual international congress on military medicine and mental health “Warrior: life, health, combat readiness”.
He emphasized that “the main success in the field of military medicine during this war was, in my opinion, the high class and dedication of our surgeons.”
“Despite all the challenges and difficulties, we maintained a high level of survival of the wounded and a significant percentage of lives saved. This definitely deserves applause,” the president summarized.
