The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has chosen the French Alps as the venue for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2030.
"IOC President Thomas Bach noted that the delegation that submitted the French Alps application confirmed its full commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2030. France raises the bar of excellence every time it organizes sporting events. Therefore, it is necessary to support their model of the future: innovative, ambitious, taking into account environmental issues and accessible to everyone," the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) said.
It is noted that the IOC is confident that France will organize the Winter Olympic Games with the same creativity and grace that are already being observed in Paris.
According to the report, this is the fourth Winter Olympic Games hosted by France. In 1924, the Olympics were held in Chamonix, in 1968 - in Grenoble, in 1992 - in Albertville.
