Ukraine's Consul General in Toronto discusses treatment of Ukrainian children in Canada's largest children's hospital
Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto Oleh Nikolenko had a conversation with head of the oncology department of the SickKids children's hospital James Whitlock and his team in connection with the Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv.
"SickKids is Canada's largest children's hospital. It is located in Toronto. I spoke about the Russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv on July 8, the victims and destruction that this Russian terrorist act caused. We discussed in detail the treatment of Ukrainian children at the SickKids hospital and other medical institutions in the province of Ontario, the internship of Ukrainian oncologists and efforts to restore the destroyed part of Okhmatdyt," Nikolenko wrote on Facebook.
The Consul General thanked the team for SickKids' willingness to help Ukraine.
