SBI: Court arrests Medvedchuk's Royal Romance yacht
Pechersky District Court of Kyiv, at a meeting on Friday, July 19, granted the request of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) to arrest the Royal Romance yacht, owned by Viktor Medvedchuk, and transfer it to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) press service said.
"The investigation has information about the possible illegal legalization of property by Viktor Medvedchuk. We are talking about a fictitious sale of a yacht through offshore companies, the final beneficiary of which is his wife," the SBI said on the Telegram channel.
The yacht was arrested as part of a criminal proceeding opened by the SBI on the basis of evidence collected by the financial intelligence units of Ukraine that the Royal Romance yacht belonged to Medvedchuk.
Medvedchuk's yacht and other property were also seized in other criminal proceedings of the SBI.
Law enforcement officers and foreign policy agencies continue to take measures to further arrest and return to Ukraine the property of traitor fugitives.
