Academic year in Ukrainian schools to begin on Sept 2 – Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has designated Monday, September 2, as the beginning of the new 2024/2025 academic year at the general secondary school, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

"Today, by a separate resolution, we determine the beginning of the new academic year in the general secondary school from Monday, September 2, and its completion on June 30, 2025," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

In this regard, the regional administrations were instructed to ensure the organization of the process, depending on the security situation in a particular territory.
