Zelenskyy, Trump may have telephone conversation on Friday – media
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and former U.S. President Donald Trump planned to have a telephone conversation on Friday, CNN reports.
"The call would mark their first conversation since Trump left the White House, and comes amid concerns in Europe about what Trump's policy towards the Ukraine war would be if Trump were to win the presidential election in November," according to the message with reference to two sources.
Discussions have been going on for some time about the appropriate time for a phone call between Zelenskyy and Trump, they said, but one source cautioned that "schedules shift frequently."
CNN added that Trump has repeatedly stated that he can resolve the war in Ukraine in one day. But it remains unclear how he will pursue peace.
