Zelenskyy, Slovenian PM discuss acceleration of implementation of previously reached defense agreements
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the sidelines of the IV Summit of the European Political Community, met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Robert Golob.
The head of state thanked Slovenia for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as defense, economic and humanitarian assistance, his press service said.
"We appreciate our country's support on the path to the EU and NATO and your strong position. The bilateral security agreement that we signed today is very important," Zelenskyy said.
The interlocutors agreed to accelerate the implementation of defense agreements, discussed further cooperation in the field of defense at the state level and improved coordination with private enterprises of the Slovenian defense industry.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU and studying the experience of Slovenia on this path.
