CEC chair, OSCE/ODIHR mission head discuss another interim report on situation after parliamentary elections
Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) Volodymyr Shapoval has held the final meeting with the head of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission, Audrey Glover, to sum up the results of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
The sides exchanged opinions regarding the mission's third interim report on the period after the elections.
Shapoval stressed that the third report, as well as two previous ones, was "balanced and unbiased." He also stressed once again that the presence of international observers at the parliamentary elections in Ukraine was very important.
While speaking about future prospects of cooperation between the CEC and the OSCE/ODIHR, Shapoval said he hopes to receive further assistance from the institution, particularly in the sphere of improvement of the election legislation in Ukraine.
In turn, Glover said that the OSCE/ODIHR mission would publish its final report on the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in around two months.
