Govt allocates extra UAH 1.9 bln for heating system restoration in Kharkiv
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has announced the allocation of additional UAH 1.9 billion to restore the heating system in Kharkiv.
"As for the preparations for the heating season, […] we have allocated UAH 2.5 billion to Kharkiv region for these needs. Today, the government announces the allocation of additional UAH 1.9 billion for the restoration of heating supply in Kharkiv. These funds were granted by the World Bank," he said during an offsite meeting of the government in Kharkiv region on Friday.
This money will be spent on necessary equipment and works to ensure that the citizens are provided with the heating services in winter, the Prime Minister said, adding that work is underway to improve the protection of the energy facilities and resume the work of TPPs.
