Ukraine increases output of rolled products by 32%, steel by 37% in Jan-June 2024

 Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises in January-June 2024 increased the production of general rolled products, according to operational data, by 32.2% year-over-year, to 3.140 million tonnes from 2.374 million tonnes.

According to information from Ukrmetallurgprom association, published on Monday evening, steel production increased by 37% by January-June 2023, to 3.874 million tonnes, and pig iron production increased by 22.3%, to 3.467 million tonnes.

As reported, Ukraine in 2023 increased production of general rolled products by 0.4% compared to 2022, to 5.372 million tonnes, but reduced steel production by 0.6%, to 6.228 million tonnes, cast iron by 6.1%, to 6.003 million tonnes.
