Ukrnafta begins construction of three wells in country's west
PJSC Ukrnafta has begun construction of three exploration wells in western Ukraine.
"The site is currently being prepared before drilling, which will begin approximately in March. Work will be carried out sequentially, depending on the results of drilling previous wells," the company said in a press release on Monday.
Navigator LLC is involved in the construction. The company was selected as the contractor at bidding on the state-owned ProZorro platform.
"The wells have a depth range from 1,102 to 1,211 meters and are designed to reach the productive horizons of the Stryan deposits," Ukrnafta CEO Serhiy Koretsky is quoted in the press release.
According to him, the total initial production of all three facilities is planned at 80 tonnes of oil per day.
In general, in 2024, Ukrnafta plans to begin construction of 30 new wells, both with its own drilling rigs and with the help of contractors.
