Ukrnafta begins construction of first of 30 wells planned for 2024
PJSC Ukrnafta begins construction of a new slanted well in the north-east of the country with a design depth of 3,314 meters and a projected initial daily oil flow rate of 26.5 tonnes.
As the director of the company, Serhiy Koretsky, reported on Facebook, drilling is planned to explore the productive horizon of the Visean deposits of the Lower Carboniferous and its subsequent exploitation.
The well will be built by the company's division, Ukrnafta Drilling, using its own ZJ-40 drilling rig with a lifting capacity of 225 tonnes.
"It is the first of 30 drilling wells that Ukrnafta plans to begin drilling using its own drilling equipment in 2024. I'm grateful to the team – geologists, drillers, engineers working to ensure that the Ukrainian oil industry develops and brings the country a valuable resource," Koretsky said.
