Shmyhal: There is enough electricity so far not to apply outage schedules, but emergency situations possible
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says that at the moment there is enough electricity not to apply power outage schedules, but due to bad weather, emergency situations are possible.
"We have passed almost half of the winter. Thanks to the preliminary preparation and professionalism of the power engineers, we have passed it successfully. On January 10, a record consumption of the energy system was recorded. The country's energy sector worked at the peak of its capabilities and successfully passed this exam. So far there is enough electricity not to apply power outage schedules. But due to bad weather and previous destruction, emergency situations are possible," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday, January 12.
In this regard, the Prime Minister once again called on everyone to save electricity.
