Shmyhal discusses projects for restoration of Ukraine with EIB President

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, during a meeting with President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Werner Hoyer and his team, discussed existing and new projects to restore the country.

"I welcomed the opening of the EIB representative office in Eastern Europe with an office in Kyiv. We discussed existing and new restoration projects. We look forward to their implementation. The government is actively cooperating with the EIB in the areas of infrastructure restoration, energy, and heat supply. I am also grateful for the consistent work with communities and the implementation of municipal projects," Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.

The head of the Ukrainian government thanked the EIB for financial assistance, in particular, for creating effective tools for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

"The EIB was one of the first international financial organizations to provide financial support to the state budget in March 2022. In general, the European Investment Bank has accumulated more than EUR 7.5 billion for our state. We highly appreciate the active role of the EIB in supporting Ukraine," Shmyhal emphasized.
