Zelenskyy initiates extension of ban on Ukrainian gas exports until late 2024
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is initiating the extension of the ban on the export of natural gas of Ukrainian origin until the end of 2024.
The instruction to the Cabinet of Ministers is enshrined in President's Decree No. 737/2023 dated November 7, 2023, which put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated the same date "On additional measures to strengthen the sustainability of the energy system and prepare the national economy for the autumn-winter period 2023/2024."
The Cabinet of Ministers shall take measures within six months to regulate the issue of establishing a zero quota for the export of natural gas of Ukrainian origin in 2024, according to the decree.
