Ukrhydroenergo, Andritz Hydro will sign memo of cooperation in projects for 'green' hydrogen production in Ukraine – Shmyhal

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says that Ukrhydroenergo and Andritz Hydro GmbH intend to agree on cooperation in the development and implementation of projects for the production of "green" hydrogen in Ukraine.

"During the forum, we will sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Ukrainian company Ukrhydroenergo and Andritz Hydro GmbH on the development and implementation of projects for the production of "green" hydrogen in Ukraine," Shmyhal said at the sixth German-Ukrainian Economic Forum on Tuesday.

Later at a press conference, the prime minister said that the second memorandum between the companies would provide for the supply of equipment for the construction of the third stage of the Dniester pumped storage power plant.

"We are launching three new hydroelectric units, which will allow Ukraine to receive about 1 GW of additional power, and will also contribute to our green transition," Shmyhal said.
