Ukrenergo expects to pay off debts to domestic solar power plants by late 2023 – Ukrenergo head
NPC Ukrenergo plans to pay off its debts on compensation of feed-in tariffs to owners of home solar power plants by the end of the year, the chairman of the company's board, Volodymyr Kudrytsky, has said.
"Our debts on the so-called roofing solar power plants (home solar power plants) in September decreased from UAH 4.2 billion to UAH 2.7 billion. By the end of the year, we plan to break even on these debts," he said at the meeting in the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing Utilities on October 5.
In addition, Kudrytsky said that, in particular, by the end of this week, Ukrenergo plans to transfer UAH 330 million to universal service providers for settlements to roofing solar power plants.
According to the head of the system operator, the repayment of debts is facilitated by an increase in the settlements of market participants for payment of the Ukrenergo transmission tariff, from which compensation for roofing solar power plants is paid.
According to him, in September the debt of market participants under this tariff decreased by UAH 0.7 billion, to UAH 20.6 billion.
