Some UAH 14.7 billion is needed for the operation of roads of national importance in 2024, head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development Mustafa Nayyem said in an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“If we talk about 2024, according to preliminary calculations, for the operational maintenance of roads of national importance - this is 41,600 km in territory controlled by Ukraine - the minimum amount of funding should be UAH 14.7 billion,” Nayyem said.
He clarified that of this amount, UAH 6.857 billion is for eliminating damage, destruction and deformation of road surfaces, about UAH 4.4 billion is for winter maintenance of roads and UAH 1.4 billion is for operational maintenance of bridges.
