Five-year gas transit with Russia foresees 10-year prolongation – Ukraine's energy minister

A five-year contract for transit of Russian gas may be extended for ten more years, Ukrainian Energy Minister Oleksiy Orzhel has said.

"Five-year transit may be extended for the next ten years under the same conditions, which are now envisaged for the first five years," Orzhel said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.
