Used passenger car market exceeds new car market seven times in Jan-May
The primary registrations of used passenger cars in January-May 2019 grew seven-fold year-over-year, to 230,900, while only 32,200 new passenger cars were registered, the Ukrautoprom association has reported.
In May alone, only 30,900 passenger cars were registered, which is twice more than a year ago, including almost 24,000 used cars.
Last month, Volkswagen remained the most popular brand in the imported used car market, which covered 16%, or 3,912 primary registrations of used cars.
Skoda is second with registration of 2,122 used cars, and Renault is third with 2,063 cars.
Some 1,889 Ukrainians preferred Opel. Ford id fifth with 1,730 used cars registered in May.
