Finance ministry jointly with IMF develops models of stress testing state-owned companies
The Finance Ministry of Ukraine jointly with an expert from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has developed a model for stress testing operations of state-owned companies, the ministry has said after announcing the results of the work of the technical mission of the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department.
The "team of the Finance Ministry and the IMF mission met with representatives of the national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy, National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom and Ukrzaliznytsia to discuss the results of financial and economic activities and the main fiscal risks associated with their operations. Together with an IMF expert, we have developed models for conducting stress testing the activities of economic entities," the Finance Ministry said on its Facebook page last week.
According to the report, this practice will help identify and minimize potential fiscal risks.
In the future, cooperation between the Finance Ministry and the IMF in fiscal risk management will continue, the ministry said.
