Germany will issue EUR 2 mln to Ukraine for creating centers of excellence
Germany will issue EUR 2 million to Ukraine to create centers of excellence, German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel has said.
"We are trying to provide support in the matter of cooperation for the sake of development, as well as economic assistance ... This contribution is also important. Given the difficult budget situation, we are talking about attracting investment, we are saying that we will provide assistance of EUR 2 million to create centers of excellence That is, peculiar innovation clusters will be created, since this issue is one of the most important," Merkel said at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv.
She also noted that a German expert had been sent to Ukraine to assist in the improvement of decentralization.
