E-auctions to sell special permits for use of natural resources to start on Oct 24 – MEDT

 Electronic auctions in ProZorro.Sales that are meant to sell special permits for the use of natural resources will start on October 24 as part of an experimental project, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has said in a statement published on its website.

"From now on, the State Service for Geology and Natural Resources of Ukraine will put the permits allowing to use natural resources for electronic auctions at ProZorro.Sales," the statement reads.

A respective decision of the government has already come into effect, the ministry specified.

According to the ministry, the experimental project will last through December 1, 2019, after which date the State Service for Geology and Natural Resources of Ukraine will have to present proposals on how to develop the project further.

"Our main goal is to check the efficacy of open electronic auctions dealing with permits for the use of natural resources," Maksym Nefyodov, Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade, was quoted as saying by the ministry in its statement.
